A Tesla sales and service operation would open on a nearly 13-acre Voorhees property that's been vacant for 12 years on Route 73 southbound, just south of the shopping center containing Kohl's, according to an application before the Planning Board next week.
The building and large parking lot will be at Lafayette Avenue and Route 73, taking up about half of the property, according to the site plan, which indicates heavy tree coverage and wetlands at the back of the property would be retained.
Two in and out driveways would be on Lafayette Avenue and one in and out on Route 73.
Route 73 is to the right and Lafayette Avenue is at the bottom.
Developer's application to the Voorhees Planning Board
A public hearing and Planning Board consideration of the preliminary and final site plans with bulk zoning variances are scheduled to be held at the April 22 board meeting, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Voorhees Township Town Hall Courtroom, 2400 Voorhees Town Center.
Drake Voorhees LLC, of Denver, Colorado, is the contract purchaser of the property and the developer. Jon Hauser is listed as sole director and general manager for Drake, according to the application.
The current property owner is Close Realty LLC of Boca Raton, Florida
