About Us

The news media environment today looks almost nothing like it did 20 years ago. What sites can be trusted? What sites provide a balanced, objective report? You will find that we are objective and fair in our reporting on the suburban communities of Cherry Hill, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Voorhees, Medford, Medford Lakes and Moorestown. Those are our primary communities, but we often venture beyond in our news reporting.

We are a hyperlocal, community news site embracing the ethical standards of journalism. If we publish an error, we are quick to correct it publicly. We view 70and73.com as a news site with goals similar to the newspapers of the past: deep reporting on local news and explanations of how events and issues in a community affect those who live there. We respond with urgency to news. Accuracy and fairness are our main touchstones.

Editor Neill Borowski, who has had a 50-year career in newspaper journalism as a reporter and editor, is available at (856) 397-0146. You can email him at contactus@70and73.com. He welcomes your inquiries.

What is 70and73?

If you’ve lived in this area for any length of time, you understand the role these two state highways play in our world. While many of us avoid them and their traffic, they define a special area of suburbia.

Does a media conglomerate own 70and73.com?

Far from it. We’re owned by Ewald Technology LLC, a New Jersey privately owned small business based in Marlton and owned by Neill Borowski.

Who is behind 70and73?

The concept was launched in February 2020 by Neill Borowski, a journalist who spent 21 years living in Cherry Hill when he was a reporter and editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer. He also has been executive editor of The Press of Atlantic City, executive editor of three daily newspapers in Binghamton, Ithaca and Elmira, NY and in senior management roles in newsrooms in Indianapolis and Rochester, NY. He is Owner/CEO of Ewald Technology and now lives in Marlton.

How can we reach out to 70and73 and Neill Borowski?

Best bet is to send email to contactus@70and73.com or simply call Neill at 856.397.0146. Have a story idea? Share it. Have a concern? Tell us. Want to buy advertising? We welcome your call.

What is the news coverage strategy of 70and73?

You probably won’t read about the latest tractor trailer rollover on Route 295. We want to write about only those things we think are relevant to your lives. What you often will see on 70and73 is a local news story with national context and comments from national experts. We always have our eye out for solutions – why write about problems without offering ways to get around those problems? But at the heart of it all is the human story, the tale of people who live around 70and73. We love good storytelling.

What is our political leaning?

We don’t think we have one. That’s not a cop out. We just don’t have time to think about it because we’re busy writing about the news.

What is our passion in our news coverage?

A sign on our office wall reads "Perceived Quality of Life." What exactly is quality of life to people living in the suburbs? To some, great schools. To others, a quiet, leafy environment. Others may say friends and community networks matter the most. When we look at potential articles, we ask ourselves the impact on the "Perceived Quality of Life." Articles delving deeply into challenges or changes to the perceived quality of life are the ones that resonate the loudest with our audience.

How can you help?

We want your ideas and tips. We also want you to subscribe or to advertise your business. News stories – especially ones that go deep – are not easy and consume resources. If you think you’re getting as much value as, say, Netflix or your latest Amazon purchase, please subscribe or buy advertising. Please also like us on our Facebook page.
