Developer's application to the Evesham Planning Board
Fifty-seven affordable apartments for seniors would be built on the site of the long-vacant Evesham Department of Public Works yard on Evesboro-Medford Road under a developer's proposal.
The project's preliminary major site plan is scheduled for review at the June 18 Planning Board meeting and is a sharply scaled-down version of a previous plan to build 91 mostly market-rate apartments disclosed by Fieldstone Associates Limited Partnership of Bridgewater in 2020.
Now Pine Street Ventures LLC of Princeton proposes to build a three-story affordable housing complex at 501 Evesboro-Medford Road and a 2,600-square-foot commercial building. Pine Street Ventures is also listed as the owner of the property, which was sold by Evesham Township when an expanded DPW yard was moved to 100 Sharp Road, about 500 feet north of the old yard.
If the preliminary plan is approved, Pine Street Ventures would have to appear again before the Planning Board for final major site plan approval, when more details of the development would be revealed.
The Township's latest Affordable Housing Plan called for 20 very-low-income affordable family units to be included in the DPW development when it was being built by Fieldstone Associates, the developer of the neighboring Barclay Chase apartments. Pine Street Ventures' documentation indicates all 57 units will be senior affordable housing.Â
Pine Street Ventures' plan says the former DPW buildings will be demolished.
