Seniors in Cherry Hill seeking information from government, private services and clubs can attend the Second Annual Senior Resource Fair on Thursday, March 12, at the public library.
"Our senior population continues to grow in Cherry Hill as does our commitment to supercharging programs and services for seniors," Mayor David Fleisher said in a statement in announcing the event.
The free fair will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.in the lower level of the library at 1100 Kings Highway North.
Residents 60 and older total about 31% of the town population, up from 23% in 2014. The Township has been encouraging older residents to retire in place and stay in the community. The Township now is gathering responses to a survey of needs, "Thrive after 55," through March 31. Residents attending the fair can give their responses.
It is also "a chance for residents to learn about options to join senior clubs, upcoming senior events and learn more about topics like health, wellness, senior bus transportation services and more," according to the Township's announcement.
