072222023 WIFI IN PARKS

Relaxing at a Burlington County park? Hook up to the Wi-Fi.

Enjoy the quiet, the trees, the wildlife and the Wi-Fi at Burlington County parks.

The county is rolling out free Wi-Fi access as part of its "Burlington County Connects" program that offers a way to jump online at all county properties. This year's County Farm Fair will be the first park area to get expanded internet access.

Find "Burlco" in your network list and select it to connect, the county says.

"Burlington County parks are among the most beautiful and accessible in the nation and we're working to ensure they're also among the most connected," County Commissioner Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks, said in a statement.

"Whether you're using Wi-Fi to work remotely outdoors, sharing real-time photos of friends and family or accessing apps, maps or schedules, having the ability to connect online is a great asset that can help attract even more visitors to our parks and events like Farm Fair," according to Eckel.

The county's free Wi-Fi network has more than 200 access points and more than 100,000 users have connected in the last year.
