The Easter Bunny, with the help of special assistant Chris Hall, made the rounds of several Cherry Hill on Friday and Saturday. He showed up at the parking lot at Cherry Hill High School West on Easter.
The Easter Bunny slept late on Easter Sunday.
Hey, who could blame him?
EB — aka Chris Hall — had spent five hours straight Saturday standing through the sunroof of his mom's car waving to homebound residents along countless streets in Cherry Hill.
"My legs are really hurting," he told his mom, and Saturday chauffeur, before crawling into bed Saturday night. And mom, Michaelle Hall of the Kingston section of Cherry Hill, found her head spinning: "I was beeping the horn for five hours straight." She ended up using her elbow because her hands tired.
The Easter Bunny's special Cherry Hill Tour — through Kingston, Knollwood, Brandywoods, Windsor Park and Erlton North — was well worth it, though, Michaelle told 70and73.com Sunday morning.

"I can't even describe how happy it was," seeing young children in the distance on the sidewalks jumping up and down as her car drove down their streets. "There were elderly people running out of their houses, taking pictures," she said. That Tour sparked 310 comments on Facebook on Saturday, with many thanking the Bunny and others asking when he'd drive through their neighborhood.
Chris, 31, who is on the autism spectrum, lives in Maple Shade but has been staying at his parents' home during the COVID-19 crisis. He's a mascot with his own costumes. Chris is also employed as the Cow at the Chick-fil-A at Marlkress Road and Route 70 in Cherry Hill, where's he's also a dining room host.Â
He has worked with the Phillie Fanatic, appears around the area as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and has been Pirate Pete on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. He even was featured in the second season of Hulu's "Behind the Mask."
So it wasn't unusual for him to cook up the plan with his mom after they saw a woman in Pennsauken was doing something similar. They put it out on Facebook and it exploded with people messaging me, said Michaelle, who with husband Joe has lived in Kingston for 34 years.
"I sat down with loose leaf paper and I wrote down all of the requests," she said. She printed out a map, enlarged it and with Joe calculated the most efficient routes. She said Joe spent a couple of hours planning the routing.
Chris, who attended the Pathway School in Norristown, Pennsylvania, has found his career as a mascot has been good for him, Michaelle said. "He loves all the attention and the interaction with the people. There's no stress on him to have conversations."
"It just blossomed" over the years, she added.
On Easter Sunday, after a good night of rest, the EB reappeared for a couple of hours in the parking lot of Cherry Hill High School West.
That fired up Facebook once again, with photographs of little children staring — in the distance — at the Easter Bunny, standing through the sunroof behind two large Easter baskets on the hood of mom's car. About 100 cars with area residents showed up to say "hello" to this every-Spring celebrity, Michaelle said.
