The Philly Pretzel Factory on Route 70 westbound in Cherry Hill is proposing to move a block away into a car repair shop at the corner of Connecticut Avenue that it would convert into a new store.
Philly Pretzel now is in a strip plaza squeezed between a Divorce Center and an Asian restaurant, all with tight parking next to Route 70 in the Erlton section.
The plan is scheduled to go before the Cherry Hill Planning Board on Monday, October 21. Variances are sought for setbacks, lot cover and parking in addition to approval of a minor site plan.

Company's application to the Cherry Hill Planning Board
Universal Auto Repairs now occupies the nearly 60-year-old building, which was purchased by Jacqueline Payrow in 2022, according to a Township review of the application. Payrow, of Moorestown, is listed as the owner of RTR Pretzels LLC, which does business as Philly Pretzel Factory.
A floor plan of the renovated former car shop shows much of the floor space occupied by the pretzel manufacturing process, with a long "pretzel extruder," dough mixer, salt table and large oven.
The hours of operation at the new site are noted in the application documents as Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Between 10 and 12 employees would work at the site.
