Willie Nelson's annual Fourth of July Picnic, which reached its 50th year in 2023 and is almost always held in Texas, will celebrate Independence Day on Camden's waterfront this summer.
Nelson, who turns 91 in April, wanted to be close to Philadelphia for this year's picnic, which will be held at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, according to the news released Tuesday morning by Ike Richman Communications of Philadelphia.
"I am thrilled to bring the Fourth of July Picnic to Philadelphia for the first time in our storied history," the country singer, Grammy winner and 1993 inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame said in a statement. "It's an honor to host such an extraordinary lineup of talent in the birthplace of our country."
The entertainment lineup includes Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Maren Morris, Mavis Staples and Celisse.

Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic most often takes place in Texas, but over the last 50 years it has traveled to a few other states.
