A controversial proposal to build a 170-unit senior living complex next to the Birchfield development will be considered by the Mount Laurel Zoning Board of Adjustment at a special meeting Wednesday night.
The plan was last before the board in March. Deliberation has been delayed until this week's special meeting. The virtual Zoom meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Allegro Development Company Inc. proposes 96 units for independent living, 53 for assisted living and 21 for memory care on the 25.5-acre parcel that partly is the site of a closed garden center at 1017 South Church St. and adjacent lots.
The large complex is not a permitted use in the R-3 zone, which allows only single-family dwellings. The maximum building height is 2.5 stories, or 35 feet, and Allegro wants permission to build 4 stories, or 48 feet.
