A first step in a developer's plan to build 13 new single-family houses on a new cul-de-sac off Elbo Lane in Mount Laurel goes before the Township Planning Board on Thursday.

Orleans Conservatory Group Partners LP of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania seeks preliminary subdivision approval for the 26.43-acre site, which now holds one single-family home. The existing home would remain.

Testimony and a public hearing on the application are scheduled to be heard at the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at the municipal building at 750 Centerton Road.

The 330 Elbo Lane property is owned by Legal Acres Nursery & Farm LLC, according to the developer's application.

A southern portion of the site was cleared of vegetation to accommodate agricultural purposes before 1930, according to the developer's application documents. "The northern portion of the property has been wooded since prior to 1930. This wooded portion of the site currently consists of deciduous wooded wetlands."
