Ron H. Murphy

Ron Murphy, of Medford, an executive at Murphy's Fresh Markets, has been elected treasurer of the New Jersey Food Council (NJFC) for 2026.

NJFC represents food retailers, wholesalers and suppliers across the state, advocating for sound public policy, promoting industry best practices and fostering collaboration.

"As we begin the new year, I am highly optimistic about the future, with new faces on our officer team and a board strengthened by new voices," NJFC President and CEO Linda Doherty said in a statement.

Officers elected, besides Murphy, were:

  • Jason Read, Wawa – chair
  • Mike Styer, ACME/Kings – vice chair
  • Gary Capozzi, Pepsi Beverages Company – associate vice chair
  • Perry Blatt, Village Supermarkets – secretary
