The new site for the Land Rover and Jaguar dealership are on lots on Haddonfield Road, Sherwood Avenue, Wynnewood Avenue and Mercer Street now owned by M.B.J. Associates LLC, the Zoning Board applicant.
This has been adjourned to the April 16 Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting.
A Land Rover and Jaguar dealership would move from Route 70 near the Old Orchard neighborhood and operate from four different parcels of land on and near Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill, according to an application filed with the Cherry Hill Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The proposed complex would be across Haddonfield Road from Wegmans and the Marketplace at Garden State Park, according to a legal notice. Plans for the dealership have been discussed for some time, coming up at a meeting with Cherry Hill's former mayor in March 2019, according to social media posts.
"Applicant proposes to operate Land Rover and Jaguar Cherry Hill at this location, however, the type of automobiles to be sold is subject to change," according to the application from M.B.J. Associates LLC, which tax records show as the owner of the lots.
Public comment is invited on the application when the Zoning Board considers the preliminary and final major site plan approval, scheduled for the zoning meeting on March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 820 Mercer St.
The application notes a new 34,662 square foot dealership would be constructed with a mezzanine of 9,395 square feet. The total would be just over 44,000 square feet at 1100 Haddonfield Road. Other lots in the plan would be used for off-street parking for the vehicle inventory.
One variance would allow more parking spaces — 205 permitted and 269 proposed.
